Slate Care
Step 1:
Find an old t-shirt or teatowel that is not fuzzy and that will not leave the fabric behind. You want something that is smooth.
Step 2:
Grab a bowl or spray bottle with hot water in it.
Make sure it's rinsed out before fill with clean water.
Step 3:
Wear gloves whilst doing this - put slate onto a clean tea towel on a flat surface. This will stop the slate getting marked again.
Step 4:
Dampen the towel or spray the hot water onto slate (not too much liquid), and wipe the slate in one direction - following the grain, then leave it to dry completely (approx 30 minutes - depending on room temperature).
